Day 5- Cruise Grand Turk

(Ok - So it's summer time, and I can finally finish updating the bloggity-blog!) I noticed I never added day 5 from our cruise back in November... better late than never! On day 5 we visited the Grand Turk! It was a very small island, but probably the most gorgeous and my favorite place we visited! I remember it being quite HOT that day (100 degrees), but we had water adventures planned so I knew I could make it! We hopped on a boat and headed out to do some snorkling first. The water was quite chilly, but we saw some amazing sea creatures - baracuda, fish, and a nurse shark! After we hopped back onto the boat, we sailed to another part of the island where we swam with the stingrays! I had a hard time relaxing because I was afraid I was going to step on one of the stingrays, but they were beautiful! We got our pictures taken with the stingrays, and then headed back to the main island. We went to Margaritaville for some food and virgin drinks! Then, it was time to head back to the boat for our return to Miami! Even though I was quite sick most of the cruise, the shore excursions were my relief! It was definitely a trip I will never forget!

Day 4 - Cruise to San Juan, Puerto Rico

Day four of our cruise, which happened to be Thanksgiving Day and my 30th birthday, landed us in San Juan, Puerto Rico! This was by far our favorite place we visited on the cruise! We started with a walking tour of Old San Juan, which was incredible! The architecture, colors, and scenery of the city was breath taking! After our walking tour, we did some shopping, stopped for a snack at McDonald's, and headed back to the ship!
Castillo San Felipe del Morro - Unfortunately, the site was closed because it was Thanksgiving Day, but it was still pretty from the outside!

When we got off the boat, a pilgrim and a turkey greeted us!

Most of the houses had this type of balcony.

Cruise - Day 3

On day three of our cruise, we went to St. Thomas! It was beautiful, but very crowded! It was quite hot this day, but the water was still a little chilly! We first went to Magens Bay (one of the top 10 beaches in the world) for a swim! The beach was packed!!! Then we went for a city tour that stopped at Black Beard's Castle.  Finally, we headed back to the boat after wandering the city for a while. Notice the great shot of the iguana Adrian got at Blackbeard's castle. We also saw one at Magens Bay! St. Thomas was beautiful, but there were people everywhere!

Anniversary Cruise - Day 1 & 2

This year for our anniversary (2nd), we decided to take a cruise over Thanksgiving to the Caribbean! This sounded like a fabulous idea back in the summer, but little did I know that I would be pregnant and have horrible morning sickness!!! I survived, but I think it would have been more enjoyable had I not been so sick! Saturday morning (November 20), we flew from Charlotte to Miami, where we spent the night (Adrian slept well that night, while I on the other hand, spent the night puking in the bathroom).  I was beginning to think, "What have I gotten myself into?" The next morning, we headed to the Port of Miami where we finally boarded the Carnival Glory! After a miserable day at sea (for me at least), we arrived in Nassau, Bahamas! It was a little chilly, but we headed off to a secluded island for the day.  That night was one of the Captain's nights so we got all dressed up for dinner! Stay tuned for more of our cruise adventures to come!

Big Announcement!!!

At the very beginning of October, Adrian and I found out we are going to be parents!!! Baby McCaslin's expected due date is July 1, 2011! I am both excited and nervous, but I guess both emotions come with the territory of being a first time mom! Here's a picture for proof!

Guitar Hero/Rock Band Night!

Sometime between July and October (yeah... I don't know when exactly), Adrian's mom, niece, sister, and brother-in-law came over, and we had a "rockin" night playing Guitar Hero/Rock Band! The best part was Susie's (Adrian's mom) singing!!! Here are a few snapshots from the night...
